Poker Rooms in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania authorized commercial casino gaming in two stages. The 2004 PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act legalized slot machines at racetrack and standalone properties; live table games — including poker — were added in January 2010 by amendment to the same act.

Online poker is legal in Pennsylvania — iGaming was authorized by 2017 legislation, and PokerStars PA launched first in November 2019, followed by WSOP PA and BetMGM Poker PA. For most of the post-launch period the state ran a ring-fenced player pool; that changed in April 2025, when Governor Shapiro signed Pennsylvania into the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), making it the sixth member alongside Nevada, New Jersey, Delaware, Michigan, and West Virginia. Shared liquidity rolled out to PA operators through 2025.
