The Golden Nugget is the only poker room in downtown Las Vegas and one of the oldest in the city. Famous as the filming location for NBC's High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark, the room offers 13 smoke-free tables on the main casino floor. The primary game is $1/$2 no-limit hold'em with an uncapped buy-in, along with limit hold'em and occasional $2/$5 no-limit hold'em. The room does not run daily tournaments but hosts the Grand Poker Series once or twice a year. Players earn $2/hour in comps through the 24K Select rewards program, redeemable at Golden Nugget restaurants and over 600 Landry's locations nationwide.

Seasonal tournament series held once or twice a year. The summer 2025 series ran May 27 through July 2 with buy-ins from $200 to $1,000 across NLH, PLO, 2-7 Triple Draw, TOE, Omaha Hi/Lo, and HORSE. Up to 60 tournament tables during GPS events.

Finding the Room
The poker room is on the main casino floor, front and center, with two entrances from the casino: one by the podium and another in the tournament area. The Golden Nugget is located on the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, directly across the street from the former Binion's.

Free self-parking is available in the Golden Nugget parking garage for hotel guests and casino visitors.
